Process

Hair

Pig hair, or bristle, is composed of keratin, which is digestible after a hydrolysis process, combining moisture, pressure, and temperature. The process most often used is the load in Batch Digester, where the moisture itself is used to pressurize, or through a direct steam injection. It is also possible to use feathers.

Batch System

The feather load is processed in a Batch Digester, where the moisture itself or a direct steam injection is used to pressurize. On account of being small productions, drying is done on the Digester itself or in a direct steam drying system. In plants that also work with feathers, the materials can be mixed.
