Metal separation

The separation of metals from the raw material is important in the processing stages in which the product must be crushed, pressed, or ground. These metals are usually incorporated during cutting or transport, at the slaughterhouses themselves. Depending on the size, these particles can damage the equipment. For carbon steel, magnetic separation elements can be used, such as permanent magnets or electromagnets, if a greater champing power is necessary. To reach every kind of metal, such as iron, carbon steel and stainless steel, metal detectors are used, installed on a ramp or conveyor. Once the metal is detected, the detector sends an electrical signal to a gate, which removes the material from the line.
