Slaughterhouse will extract edible oil in Peru

January, 2020

A fish-fillet plant in Peru sends co-products to another company for the manufacture of meals for animal consumption. The customer’s intention is to add value to their product, processing the raw materials safely, to separate the oils intended for obtaining Omega-3.

Noble parts of the fish (raw material) which are still in cold storage and under hygienic conditions are processed in an industrial plant next to the slaughterhouse to extract and centrifuge edible oil, rich in Omega 3. Sanitary and thermal conditions of the product are guaranteed. Solid waste from the extraction will be forwarded to third parties. The entire project was designed and manufactured by Kontinuer featuring a high level of automation and without operator interference.

Currently, this plant is undergoing installation in Lima, Peru.
