With the increased demand for high-protein meals and, therefore, with low mineral content, it becomes necessary to press with high oil extraction in conventional presses. The absence of mineral matter, bones or hard material compromises fat extraction in meals.
Kontinuer developed a new Continuous Press for pressing material with low mineral content and high amount of entrails (soft material).
The press, with higher compression ratio and greater pressure box opening, led to an increase in production and it was possible to successfully achieve the extraction demand of 10% to 11% of fat in low mineral content meal. Depending on the results of this configuration, further changes were made in other existing presses of the plant itself, as well as in presses of other companies.
